Why learn from me?

I began playing pickleball in 2016 after recovering from shoulder surgery at the end of my baseball/softball career (playing and coaching in Berlin, Germany). In 2018, I played in my first big tournament, the US OPEN, 3 weeks after finishing radiation following breast cancer. I rose from a 3.5 player to 4.5 quickly and was a sponsored Gamma player from 2018-2022. In 2023, I joined the Bread & Butter Pickleball squad and began doing more teaching and travel and less tournaments, as that gives me the most joy (and my medal rack was full). I did greatly enjoy my 5 years of serious tournament play across the USA and in Europe (including medals from Spain, Italy, Germany, England, Ireland, and Croatia, as well as at major US tournaments). With 5.0 gold medal wins and several senior pro tournaments under my belt, as well as an invitation to try out for the NPL, I feel like I have accomplished all I wanted to as an athlete and am now simply enjoying spreading the joy of pickleball through my travels and teaching.

I have been coaching since 2019 and have been a trainer on pickleball trips to Greece, Germany, Costa Rica (with Lucy Kitcher), and Croatia.
